COMMENTS & COMPARISON BETWEEN DEALS BEING OFFERED TO FIRST TIME BUYERS AT THE MORTGAGE EXPLORER Text I picked three rates being offered to First Time Buyers from a choice of 10471 products. You will see them on the Deal Of The Week page. They are respectively: (a) fixed rate of 2.20% till July07 (b) discounted rate of 4.45% for 2 years (c) fixed rate of 4.54% till Jan06 My preference goes to the third one as you will have noted that the Annual Percentage Rate is lower than the other two: 5.70% to 6.1 & 6.7% respectively. There is also no early redemption penalty at any time whilst enjoying peace of mind through knowing that the fixed monthly payment will not change for the early months of the mortgage
